 Hotel El Velero is a beachfront Costa Rica hotel in a perfect location for ultimate beach lover enjoyment. The hotel is a small establishment with 22 air conditioned rooms including cable tv, telephone, hot water showers, and in room safes. Really all the comforts of home less a kitchen.The pretty, small gardens on the property include a little pool, hammocks and other reclining areas, outdoor restaurant and bar and a large balcony area overlooking the gardens and Pacific ocean. This property also includes a gated gravel parking lot for rental car safety and easy access.  Rooms at Hotel El Velero include king or two double beds and are clean, modestly decorated, but large enough for comfortable living. The decor is Mediterranean boutique and includes nice additions like in room coffee maker, hair drier, towels for the beach, excellent daily maid service and a quiet environment.This Costa Rica hotel hosts a weekly barbeque, provides nightlife every night to locals and guests, and two sailboat tours. The hotel owns a 38 foot Beneteau sloop pictured below. The day tour lasts 5 full hours beginning at 10:00 am and the sunset tour is 3 hours leaving at 3:00 pm. Playa Hermosa is a cove with protected waters excellent for swimming, wading, snorkeling, and diving. The beach is tan colored and slopes gently into the Pacific ocean. The cove is about 2k wide and is quite flat making it easy to walk and explore. The cove is surrounded by forested hills dotted with budget to resort hotels and small restaurants. Championship golf is available within a 30 minute drive from Hermosa beach. Additional nightlife and restaurant options are available in Playa Coco a short taxi ride or drive away.
